The municipality of Anse-St-Jean borders two National Parks. It is also characterized by marvelous scenery, warm welcomes from the villagers, and diversified activities.
Established in 1838, this small village is swarming with architectural marvels
such as its covered bridge, ancestral houses, quay, and church.
This municipality has been approved by the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec for its historical characteristics and abundance of nature. Visitors are amazed by its towering peaks, accessible Saguenay River, colorful forests, and its exceptional mountain carved with stunning landscape which stands straight and is proud to be located in L’Anse-St-Jean.
Facing the challenges of the future, the community has always known how to develop its recreational and tourist attractions as well as to preserve its regional vocation which is to offer services to the population.
